Refusal of Boarding

You have the right of requesting compensations in value of 125 Eur up to 600 Eur, depending on the flight's distance and the delay produced following the flights' redirection.

Prolonged Delays

In case the delay lasts longer than five hours, you are entitled to ask the ticket's cost reimbursement , provided that you give up the journey.

The Call-Off

You have the right to receive monetary compensations except the following situations: you were informed 14 days before, as concerns the annulment of the flight, the redirected flights' schedule is very close to the initial schedule, or the air transport company can prove that the flight's annulment was determined by special reasons.

Assistance Assured by the Air Transport Companies

Depending on the circumstances, in case your embarking is refused or the flight with whom you travel is cancelled or is late, you have the right to receive assistance (the meal's assurance, the commmunication means, the accomodation during the night, if it is the case). In case your boarding is refused or the flight with whom you travel is cancelled, you can choose between continuing the travel or receiving the ticket's cost refund.

Passangers with Reduced Mobility

Passangers with reduced mobility and the persons with disabilities are protected against discrimination, and beginning with 26 th July 2008, they can benefit from a corresponding assistance assured (in certain conditions) in every airport from the UE territory.

The Air Transport Companies' Identity

You have to know before, the identity of the flight's operator with whom you travel. The air transport companies which do not offer secure conditions of flight are forbidden, or are subjected to some restrictions on the European Union territory. Responsibility

The air transport companies are responsible for the damages produced as a result of the flights' delays.(up to 4.800 Euro)for the damage and loss of the luggage (up to 1.200 Euro) as well as for the injuries or deaths produced following the accidents. However, they don't bear this responsibility in case they took all possible measures to avoid the  damages produced, or in case they found themselves in the impossibility of taking these kind of measures.

Tour Packages

The tour packages' operators have the obligation of presenting exact information as concerns the booked holiday tickets, respect the contractual obligations and assure the passengers' protection in case of the organiser's insolvency.

The low-cost airlines are companies that generally offer tickets at low prices, by removing some traditional services offered to passengers.The airlines of this kind are subjected to the same regulation CE nr. 261/2004 of the Parliament and European Council, as concerns the passengers' rights.

For the traditional airlines as well as for the low cost airlines, the ticket represents the evidence of the transport contract between the airline and passenger, whose name is written on the ticket.

In order to get informed concerning the obligations that passengers  have during the flight, passengers can directly access the web page of the flight company, or can get information from their representatives.

Airports are not responsible for the changes in the flights' schedule of airlines, that assume themselves full responsability, for  the modification of these programmes.
